Peter Carter
Peter and his team work with a large number of small and medium-sized agencies in design, digital, fashion and other creative areas.
Peter provides an outsourced / “bolt-on” accounts department to these agencies, bringing a range of expertise in accounting and financial management, and acts as Finance Manager / FD to a number of these. The aim is to free up the designer to design, while delivering consistent management information to allow the design business to monitor and understand its progress and to plan for the future. Peter’s “Big 4” background promotes a comprehensive service and a clear and informal approach.

Design industry experience: 6-10 years
Accountants and designers have traditionally had a very different approach, culture and language. Peter and his team have taken on the accounting/administration for a large number of agencies over 10 years, and helped them to understand their results in clear English and visual formats, by delivering and producing the information that is actually needed, rather than the usual one-size-fits-all approach of delivering a list of impenetrable numbers.

Recruitment agency:
We took over the full accounting process for a recruitment agency which was previously carried out by four separate accounting firms, and integrated their financial systems into one linked up process, thereby reducing accounting costs by 60%.
Branding/identity agency (Hatton Garden):
We currently provide three staff part-time, covering financial control, cashflow forecasting and management, management accounts, book-keeping, payroll, VAT returns, consolidation of overseas business into overall management accounts. This is typical of our client profile.
Financial management:
Members of our team act as Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Finance Director for a number of our clients who have their own in-house book-keeping / administration staff. Any of our staff can be “internal” (with in-house email addresses) or remotely-based / external.
